What is the dress attire on Tavarua Island?
+
ANSWER:
The Fijian culture encourages conservative dress codes for locals. Women are almost fully clothed from head to toe and men usually wear 'sulus' or long skirts as this is the respectable and appropriate attire in the villages on the main island(s). While on vacation at Tavarua Island Resort, we ask that you be aware of these cultural dress norms. As the island offers a relaxed environment, we recommend casual resort wear during the day (swimwear, board shorts, coverups, tank tops, shorts, sandals, hats, and protective sun-wear). In the evenings, casual elegance is suggested. Options include summer dresses, skirts, and blouses for ladies and collared shirts and trousers for men. During mealtimes, we ask that ladies wear a beach coverup or sarong while in and around the dining area(s). Vinaka for understanding and respecting our beloved Fijian culture!
Do you have Wifi?
+
ANSWER:
Yes! We provide several WiFi packages available for hourly/daily/weekly use for one or multiple devices. Rates vary depending on which package you choose. Keep in mind that Tavarua Island is remotely located - we offer the best service currently available and will continue to upgrade as the technology and reliability improve. Please inquire at the front office.
How do I access drinking water during my stay?
+
ANSWER:
We encourage you to bring your reusable water bottles for your stay. We have two water stations (one located in the restaurant and one by the boat shed) where you can fill up with our delicious chilled drinking water. If you forget a water bottle, we sell awesome Tavarua-branded Mizu bottles in the boutique.
Is the water safe to drink on Tavarua?
+
ANSWER:
Yes! We are proud to provide our guests with a top-of-the-line reverse osmosis with UV sterilization water filtration system that will keep you hydrated and happy during your stay!
Do I need a special plug to charge my devices?
+
ANSWER:
In Fiji the power plugs and sockets are of type I. The standard voltage is 240 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz. If you are traveling from America, you will need to use a plug adapter to fit a US plug into a Fijian power outlet. We provide adapters for purchase in our boutique. However, the bures are conveniently equipped with built-in USB wall outlets.
Do you provide blow dryers?
+
ANSWER:
Yes, all bures are equipped with blow dryers. Please let our front office know if there isn't one for some reason.
Do you provide shampoo, conditioner and body soap?
+
ANSWER:
We are proud to provide a wonderful lineup of Pure Fiji products for your stay. Should you run out of anything, please let our front office know.
Do you have laundry services available?
+
ANSWER:
Yes, please inquire with the front office to arrange for laundry cleaning.
What’s included in my booking fee?
+
ANSWER:
